There’s a power play going on that will interest many St. Louisans beyond what takes place in the Blues-Minnesota hockey playoff series that begins Wednesday night.
Fox Networks Group and Charter Spectrum cable are embroiled in a contract dispute at the national level over money that could lead to Fox withholding Fox Sports Midwest, which is set to televise two Blues playoff games and five Cardinals contests this week, from Charter’s lineup. Also affected in the dispute are FX and the National Geographic channels, and the blackouts could begin as early as Monday.
Not impacted are the Fox broadcast network (KTVI, Channel 2 locally), Fox News Channel and the Fox Business outlet.
