Dexter Fowler singled for his fourth pinch hit in six at-bats this season to cap a two-run sixth inning that brought the Cardinals to only one run down to the Milwaukee Brewers at 5-4.
A double-play grounder by Eric Fryer scored a run but appeared to have killed the rally until Fowler drove in his fifth run as a pinch hitter with a single to left. Fowler, however, was thrown out stealing to end the inning.
