ST. LOUIS -- Cardinals center fielder Dexter Fowler left Saturday night's game after leaping and crashing into the center-field wall on a fly ball hit by Adam Frazier in the seventh inning that turned into an inside-the-park home run.
Fowler was down on his back on the warning track for a few minutes before being attended to by a member of the Cardinals training staff. He was removed from the game, with Harrison Bader moving from right field to center and Randal Grichuk entering the game in right.
Frazier's inside-the-park homer was his fifth home run of the season and gave the Pirates a 3-2 lead.
