The Cardinals go for the series sweep Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. when they take on the AL Central-leading Cleveland Indians in interleague play at Busch Stadium.
The home team won 4-0 on Monday as John Gant allowed just one hit over seven innings, and roughed up two-time Cy Young Award winner Corey Kluber en route to an 11-2 blowout win Tuesday as the Cardinals' Matt Carpenter went five for five with two solo homers, five runs scored and three RBIs.
Cleveland, which entered the series riding a seven-game win streak, are still 7 ½ games ahead of second-place Minnesota in the AL Central.
