JUPITER, Fla. • There isn't much activity Tuesday morning at the Cardinals' spring training facility and home of two of their minor-league affiliates. A few coaches and officials are around; a couple pitchers are here to work out their arms.
The real action is elsewhere.
Careers are starting.
On Monday, Cardinals' first-round pick Nick Plummer made his pro debut with the Gulf Coast League Cardinals. He went hitless in three at-bats, struck out once, started in center field and hit No. 2 for the GCL Cardinals. The GCL affiliate is off in Viera, Fla.
