Edman's grand as Cardinals rally to topple Reds, 7-4

Edman's first career grand slam in the majors was also the Cardinals' first grand slam of the season -- and it catapulted them to a 7-4 victory Thursday against Cincinnati at Great American Ball Park. Edman's homer on the first pitch he saw from a Reds reliever snapped a 3-3 tie and set the Cardinals to their fifth win in their past seven games.

The grand slam scored Matt Wieters and Paul DeJong, both of whom scored two runs in the game. Paul DeJong had three RBIs -- including a two-run homer, his first homer in more than a month -- and Wieters had two singles.
