JUPITER, Fla. — At some point between slicing two key singles, catching one runner stealing, and shepherding a young pitcher on his birthday through a Grapefruit League appearance, Yadier Molina walked back from the on-deck circle and began the ritual of latching up his leg guards and sliding into his chest protector.
