May 19, 2015, Springfield, MO – The Tulsa Drillers outlasted the Springfield Cardinals, 1-0, in a 17-inning marathon game before 3,311 fans at Hammons Field on Tuesday night. The 17-inning game is the 2nd-longest in Springfield Cardinals history, only trailing the 20-inning game against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on 5/11/13.

A pitchers duel from start to finish, the two teams alternated scoreless inning after scoreless inning through the first 16 frames. On the Cardinals (12-26) side, RHP Nick Petree made the start and posted seven scoreless stanzas, blanking the Drillers (17-20) for his second straight start.
