Sunday, the Milwaukee Brewers started Double-A call-up Tyler Wagner with less-than-desired results, though grinding out a 7-6 win in the longest game in Miller Park history.
Tuesday, the Brewers debuted another Tyler: right-hander Tyler Cravy, called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs to start against the National League Central-leading St. Louis Cardinals.
The Brewers won a key battle but lost tonight’s war, falling to the Cardinals in a fantastic pitchers’ duel, 1-0.
Cravy, a right-hander with some interesting life on an otherwise average-to-plus fastball, acquitted himself well, going deep into the game.
