D-backs catch Cards 2-2 in sixth

PHOENIX • Aaron Hill's two-out double, after Jake Lamb had drawn his second walk from Cardinals starter Lance Lynn, enabled the Arizona Diamondbacks to catch the Cardinals at 2-2 in the sixth inning Monday night.

Lynn had just tossed his fourth double-play ball, to nemesis Welington Castillo, before he walked rookie Lamb. Hill plugged the left-center-field gap.

The Cardinals' righthander was taken out of the game after this inning.

PISCOTTY LEGS ONE OUT

While the Cardinals pulled off four double plays in the first six innings Monday night, even though they messed up two others with wild throws, the Arizona Diamondbacks missed two chances to turn one in sixth inning.
