DENVER • There has hardly been enough time to keep up as quickly and expediently as Colorado rookie Antonio Senzatela has been pitching.
The righthander has held the Cardinals scoreless through eight innings and he's working on a five-hit shutout. The Rockies have staked him to 2-0 lead despite managing only five hits against the Cardinals' starter Carlos Martinez.
On his 89th pitch, Martinez just touched 99 mph.
What the Rockies have done, however, against Martinez is find other ways to score runs, while the Cardinals have had a hard time getting anything past the Rockies' defense.
