Partially obscured by a wooden name plate, a Trevor Rosenthal bobblehead doll peeks out toward the Cardinals’ clubhouse floor on the top shelf of Randy Choate’s locker.
The hand-sized figure is autographed by the Cardinals’ closer, and it’s from Rosenthal’s days with Class AA Springfield. It also happens to be the second Rosenthal bobblehead to find its way into Choate’s locker, since the first one broke.
It has morphed into a playful dig at Rosenthal.
“I always tease him that I don’t like him or give him a hard time about that kind of stuff,” Choate said.
