Five hours in a cavernous room full of Cubs fans.
It wasn't easy for those whose St. Louis boys of summer didn't even make the playoffs this year.
And it was no ordinary room. It was inside Ballpark Village, next to Busch Stadium where the Cardinals are often playing deep into the post-season. It was if the Cubs fans were rubbing it in.
Admittedly, some of them said, they were.
And why not? It had been 108 years since the Cubs could call themselves the best in baseball. And since then, those fans have had to watch the Cardinals win the World Series 11 times.
