It was only a week or so ago that folks were wondering where was all this power that newcomer Brandon Moss, who had 15 home runs for Cleveland, was supposed to provide. In his first 49 Cardinals at-bats, he had no homers and only eight hits.
But in his last six games, Moss has slugged three home runs, including a dramatic three-run, ninth-inning, game-winning blast Tuesday night off Washington Nationals reliever Casey Janssen, who for the second night in succession was an 8-5 loser to the Cardinals.
“(The power) is coming back,” said Moss, who has had to deal with a hip issue.
