The Cardinals pieced together another unlikely comeback on Tuesday night, as much the result of the generosity of the Washington Nationals as anything else.
The most legitimate run they got all night was the game winner in the bottom of the ninth that came on a two-out double by Cody Stanley, just up from Memphis when the roster limits came off, a walk to Tommy Pham and then a three-run homer by Brandon Moss on the to the grass in center that gave the Cardinals an 8-5 win at Busch Stadium.
It was the 18th home run of the season for Moss and his fifth career walkoff home run.
