Cards take advantage of Phillies

PHILADELPHIA • The Cardinals made enough errors to put them and starting pitcher Michael Wacha in a bind, but given the team they’re playing, all they had to do was wait long enough.

The Philadelphia Phillies are inevitably capable of worse.

The Cardinals hit four home runs and got the benefit of a balk, an error and ludicrously awful baserunning to rally from a five-run deficit for a 7-6 victory in the 10th inning Wednesday. Tommy Pham had two home runs and threw two runners out at the plate as the Cardinals gave the Phillies time to become the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.
