Cards squeeze out 2-1 win over Giants

The last time the Cardinals saw the Giants, Travis Ishikawa hit a home run off Michael Wacha to give San Francisco the win in the National League Championship Series and send them on to the World Series, where they beat the Royals.

Wacha came out with a dominant performance on Monday night against the Giants, but one mistake, which Brandon Crawford hit to the center-field wall for a game-tying double, cost him a chance at an MLB-high 15th win.

The Cardinals won the game 2-1 on a run in the eighth. Stephen Piscotty tripled with one out and after an intentional walk to Brandon Moss, Mark Reynolds hit a ground ball to Crawford at short.
