Cards, Reds ready to go in Mexico

The Cardinals and Reds will play their first game of a two-game visit to El Stadio de Beisbol Monterrey – home of the Monterrey Sultanes. When other teams have played in Mexico, the music never stops, not ever for at-bats, and the singing and chanting sometimes drowns out the ballpark announce. The festival isn’t supposed to be limited to the stands either. Both teams have been encouraged to engage with social media – during the game. The players are allowed to post to social media from the dugout and from the bullpen while the game is active. This departure from usual rules is meant to spur attention for the #MexicoSeries and spread the atmosphere of the ballpark, virtually.
