ST. LOUIS -- A little over a week after Yadier Molina put the Cardinals on the clock by imposing an Opening Day deadline for extension talks, the two sides found common ground.
The Cardinals will hold a 1 p.m. CT news conference on Sunday to announce that they have reached an agreement on a contract extension with catcher Yadier Molina. The deal is expected to be three years in length and, according to MLB Network Insider Ken Rosenthal, will be worth between $55 million and $65 million.
