CINCINNATI • The Cardinals-Cincinnati Reds game suspended by rain in the eighth inning Friday night resumed this morning (St. Louis time) at Great American Ball Park. After the Cardinals failed to take advantage of the inherited runner they had from the night before, the Reds' Adam Duvall golfed a low Jonathan Broxton pitch to right center for a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth to give the Reds a 4-2 victory.
Duvall's third homer _ and third hit _ since he was brought up _ landed on top of the wall and kicked over as right fielder Jason Heyward went to the wall but did not make an attempt to jump.
