PITTSBURGH—One of the first things that came to the minds of Cardinals manager Mike Shildt, pitching coach Mike Maddux and even lefthander Genesis Cabrera after Cabrera had allowed six hits and six runs in a span of six batters and 13 pitches on Thursday was that he was tipping his pitches to the Pittsburgh Pirates’ hitters.
