Cardinals win another 2-1 game against Pirates

The St. Louis Cardinals won another tight game at home against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday night.

Mike Leake threw 6 1/3 great innings, the bullpen didn't allow a run and Greg Garcia hit the decisive RBI double in the fifth to give the Cardinals their second straight 2-1 win.

Though the offense was stagnant yet again, St. Louis found its savior in the starting pitcher. Leake has far and away been the Cardinals' best starter so far this season and has now given up just two runs in 20 1/3 innings.

St. Louis got a run in the first inning after Dexter Fowler led off the frame with a triple.
