The Cardinals added to their already substantial lead in the bottom of the third to make it a 5-0 game.
Stephen Piscotty led off the inning with a walk, and after stealing second, came home on a Matt Adams singe to left field. The stolen base was Piscotty's first of the season, and the RBI was Adams' second of the night.
The Cardinals had a chance to break open the game even farther, but with men on first and second with only one out, catcher Eric Fryer lined into a double play. The ball was caught in the air by third baseman Chris Coghlan, and Coghlan then fired to second to double off Adams.
