It was during Class AAA Memphis’s season-opening series in North Carolina against the White Sox affiliate Charlotte when Masyn Winn could look out to the field and realize that his start to the MiLB season was another step closer in his path to the big leagues.
“I think the biggest maybe not difference but when I got my wakeup call was whenever we played against Jake Marisnick and Billy Hamilton in the first series,” Winn said while sitting for an interview at AutoZone Park in Memphis, Tennessee. “(Being) from Houston, I got to watch Jake Marisnick play. And Billy Hamilton, him being a black baseball player, I've always kind of had my eye on him.
