Kolten Wong is coming back to the Cardinals.
The team said Friday it was recalling Wong from Memphis and sending outfielder Jeremy Hazelbaker down.
The second baseman Wong was optioned to Memphis after the June 5 game. He hit safely in all seven games with the Memphis Redbirds, hitting .429 with four home runs and 11 RBIs.
He also started in center field for three games.
Wong was batting .222 with one home run and 5 RBIs when the Cardinals sent him down.
At Friday night's game at Busch Stadium, the Cardinals are giving out a promotional Wong Hawaiian jersey to the first 30,000 fans.
