ST. LOUIS • In an attempt to illustrate the show of force teenager Nolan Gorman has been in his first four months of pro baseball, MLB Pipeline noted that if he hit homers in the majors at the same pace he has in the minors he would be one of 12 players with 19 homers in their first 68 games.
Gorman, the Cardinals' first-round pick this past June, hit two home runs and drove in five of Low-A Peoria's runs in a 10-6 loss Monday night. The home runs, Gorman's first of the season, came in the eighth and ninth inning off reliever Justin Bullock.
