Cardinals scouting director Randy Flores was promoted to assistant general manager/director of scouting Tuesday and the club also named Ernie Moore its new director of travel.
Moore, who succeeds long-time travel director C.J. Cherre, who is retiring at the end of the year, had shared the equipment manager’s responsibilities the past three years with Mark Walsh, who now will oversee all home clubhouse and equipment operations.
Flores, a former lefthanded pitcher for the Cardinals, joined the club as scouting director in August, 2015, and conducted the club’s amateur draft the past three seasons.
