JUPITER, Fla. • The abbreviated workout schedule before the start of Grapefruit League games means many of the Cardinals' regulars won't be appearing in the first few games, and when they do appear it will only be for a few innings.
Dexter Fowler, the Cardinals' veteran right fielder, does not expect to play in any games this weekend, and Marcell Ozuna is not expected to play the field. Ozuna could be at designated hitter Friday when the Cardinals open their exhibition schedule with a game against the Marlins at Roger Dean Stadium.
Tommy Pham expects to play some, but not Saturday.
