CHICAGO • Although the clock could be ticking on his time with the major-league club, a few hours before first pitch Saturday at Wrigley Field there was rookie Magneuris Sierra out in left field working on what went wrong Friday.
In the eighth inning of the Cardinals' 3-2 loss to the Cubs that night, Sierra had trouble tracking a line drive off the bat of Anthony Rizzo. Through an interpreter the next day, Sierra described how he lost the ball in the stands and the crowd -- in the second deck of Wrigley Field and the glare that sneaks through the levels.
