Entering the break, Shildt, pitching coach Mike Maddux, and other team officials did an audit of the pitchers’ innings — their count so far and their historic workload. Shildt said the team is comfortable with the pace of innings and workload for young starters Dakota Hudson and Jack Flaherty.
