Jonathan Broxton has been in a few bullpens in his career, which has taken him from Los Angeles to Kansas City to Cincinnati to Milwaukee to St. Louis.
He said only one, the 2009 Dodgers, rivaled the one’s he in now. Broxton, the closer for that club, had 36 saves, seven wins and 114 strikeouts in 76 innings and held opponents to a .165 batting average. But the setup men, Ronald Belisario and Hong-Chi Kuo, were also strong as Belisario fanned 64 in 70 2/3 innings and had a 2.04 ERA while lefthander Kuo, in half a season, fanned 32 in 30 innings.
