But there is a part of the game that he misses. Before Wednesday, when Atlanta's Ronald Acuna Jr. swiped two bases in the Braves' 4-0 victory, opponents had tried to steal a major-league low seven bases on the Cardinals and had been successful only four times. Molina now has thrown out two of six.
Miami was next in the majors in fewest stolen bases allowed (14) and Arizona was at 16, with each having thrown out five.
