Edman had hit .400 with six hits in 15 at-bats, including three singles, a double, triple and homer and he’d stolen two bases since being brought up from Class AAA Memphis several weeks ago. Then he singled in his first two at-bats Wednesday, in the Cardinals’ 2-0 loss to Oakland in which the team had just five hits.
