ST. LOUIS -- Right-handed pitcher Luke Weaver and outfielder Anthony Garcia have been named the St. Louis Cardinals' Minor League Pitcher and Player of the Month for July, the club announced Monday.
Garcia, 23, was the Cardinals 18th round (545th overall) selection out of San Juan Educational School (Puerto Rico) in the 2009 first-year player draft. In 14 games at Springfield, Garcia batted .327 with a home run, 10 RBI, .
