JUPITER, Fla. • Philadelphia outfielder Bryce Harper, newly signed to a 13-year contact and more recently hit in the ankle by a pitched ball, is not on the Phillies’ two-game trip to the East Coast of Florida and thus not in Monday’s starting lineup against the Cardinals.
Dakota Hudson will start for the Cardinals, to be succeeded by a corps of late-inning relievers, including Andrew Miller, Jordan Hicks and Alex Reyes.
Paul Goldschmidt will bat second for the second successive day for the Cardinals and Paul DeJong third. Tommy Edman will play second and Yairo Munoz at third base.
