The St. Louis Cardinals have hired a new scouting director in the light of events surrounding the computer-hacking incident from earlier this summer.
According to MLB.com reporter Jenifer Langosch, the Cardinals hired Randy Flores as lead scouting director to succeed Chris Correa. Correa was dismissed on July 1 and becomes the team’s fourth scouting director in the past five seasons.
In case the name sounds familiar, Flores actually pitched in the St. Louis system beginning with the 2003 season and went on to pitch in relief for five seasons with the Cardinals.
