Cardinals hang a dozen runs on Detroit in 12-6 win, snap eight-game losing streak

Before the Cardinals can even begin concerning themselves with catching anyone in the NL Central, they need to win a baseball game. After losing two straight one-run games to the Detroit Tigers, St. Louis matched up with Alex Faedo this afternoon, who was making his first major league start of the season after being recalled from Triple-A Toledo.
