SAN DIEGO -- The Cardinals flexed their muscles in the first three innings by hitting four home runs against the Padres at Petco Park on Friday.
Paul DeJong was the first to go yard with a three-run shot in the second inning. Harrison Bader then homered to lead off the third. Two batters latter Marcell Ozuna found the seats, the first of consecutive homers as Jedd Gyorko, the former Padre, followed suit.
For Gyorko, it was his eighth home run against the Padres in 12 games.
