Say you were to tell me at the beginning of Spring Training that by June the St. Louis Cardinals would have played without Matt Holliday, Adam Wainwright, Matt Adams, Lance Lynn, and Jordan Walden for at least two weeks each, yet they would have possession of the best win-loss record in the game. I would have looked at you as if you were one of the most disoriented people in existence. There’s no way a team can perform that well with two losses to the rotation, two to the lineup, and a key bullpen guy…Right?
