Cardinals feel right at home in Atlanta as they gain another game in wild-card race

The Cardinals don’t lack for T-shirt slogans, hashtags, or talismans — a plush squirrel toy has been spotted in the dugout — but there’s something far more substantive happening this week than chip dips and rally varmints. The second-year shortstop and latest to get a look at batting No. 3, DeJong drilled a two-run homer to put the Cardinals ahead Tuesday and added an RBI as they pulled away for an 8-1 victory against Atlanta at SunTrust Park.
