The Cardinals added their first left-handed pitcher of the Draft by selecting Jacob Evans with the No. 191 overall selection. Evans posted a 1.67 ERA in 28 appearances out of the bullpen for Oklahoma as a junior this year.
"I think we're going to try to develop him as a starter at the short-season level this year," Cardinals director of scouting Chris Correa said. "He's got three pitches and he's got command of three pitches, so we want to give him that opportunity."
