Early Wednesday morning, over breakfast, the Cubs and Major League Baseball postponed that afternoon's game at Wrigley between the Cardinals and their archrivals because of a snowy, rainy and biting cold forecast for the afternoon.
That's become the asterisk of the 2018 baseball season, particularly in the Midwest and around Chicago. This is the third game in four days that the Cubs have had to postpone due to inclement weather. (Cards-Cubs game on Monday night also was postponed and rescheduled as part of a July 21 doubleheader).
