The Cardinals made a roster move before the game, activating Seth Maness from the disabled list and optioning Dean Kiekhefer to Memphis. Maness was 0-1 with a 6.39 ERA before going on the DL on May 13. He went 0-0 with a 1.80 ERA in five rehab games with Memphis and Springfield. He pitched a scoreless inning on Thursday in his most recent game.
