I'm not sure what Corey Knebel was thinking during Tuesday night's 10th inning.
Someone forgot to tell the Brewers reliever that Yadier Molina has been punishing pitchers since the All-Star break.
Knebel's first pitch to Molina was an 80 mph knuckle curve in the bottom of the strike zone. Molina, who is averaging .308 with runners on base and .434 in 0-0 counts, nearly knocked his fifth home run of the season out of Miller Park.
The Cardinals catcher instead had to settle for a ground-rule double that moved teammate Jhonny Peralta to third and deposited Molina at second, which of course set the stage for Randal Grichuk's game-winning single the next at-bat.
