Major League Baseball’s mangling of its attempt to salvage the 2020 season has devolved to the point that the person making the most sense is the pitcher who once made a bet that revolved around letting a friend shoot him in the groin with a paintball gun.

Leave it to controversial Reds starter Trevor Bauer to become the surprising voice of reason during America’s pastime's extended embarrassment.

Bauer better be careful. He might get himself banned from baseball. He’s displaying too much common sense.

This is the same Bauer who once pledged to only negotiate one-year deals once he reaches free agency.
