Before the Cardinals scattered from Busch Stadium for another offseason that would be longer than they wished, manager Mike Matheny expressed a desire for changes that would improve his team.
"I haven’t been around doing this very long," Matheny said. "I don’t care how long you’re doing something. The day that you figure you have it all figured out you’re done. Every day, we show up as a staff trying to figure out something new. What are we missing? How do we become better? We have every much a learning environment inside of our clubhouse, from our players through our staff and upstairs.
