The good (there was some, really), the bad and the ugly from game No. 1 through 88:
Minus-10: No shortstop in baseball ranked worse than Aledmys Diaz's 10 runs below average, per FanGraphs' Defensive Runs Saved. This comes after Diaz checked in at three runs below average during his rookie season in 2016. Diaz was an All-Star that year. This year he's in Memphis. The hope with Diaz was that his offense would continue to outshine his defense, and that his defense would improve over time. But both phases of his game regressed in year two, and the emergence of infielder Paul DeJong and return of second baseman Kolten Wong has complicated the road back to a starting role.
