ST. LOUIS • It took less than 36 hours for former Florida Gator outfielder Harrison Bader to speed from turning pro to going yard.
Second-round pick Bader, 21, finalized his contract with the Cardinals on Monday and on Tuesday hit two home runs, scored twice, and drove in three RBIs in his first game for Class A short-season State College. (You can check out the video of his first homer here. Check out the ballpark, too, because the Staten Island Yankees play at one of Minor League Baseball's little gems.) Bader started in left field and hit second in his debut.
