Even as the concepts swirl and crystallize for how baseball will return when or if it becomes possible this summer, the unlikelihood of a complete season has become the clear and pressing reality for clubs, fans, and the ticket refund policies wedged between them.
Major League Baseball has given teams, including the Cardinals, clearance to offer ticket refunds for games that are not likely to be rescheduled because of the coronavirus crisis that has delayed the start of the season indefinitely. The Cardinals continued to finalize their plans Tuesday and are expected to be among the teams that announce them this week.
