For the longest stretch this last quarter of the season, the top three in the Central seemed set. The Jets would take first, the Preds second, and the Blues third. Then things became interesting. Oh, lord, did they become interesting.
After getting stuck in a rut, the Preds are 7-2-1 in their last ten. After holding court over the division, the Jets are 4-5-1 in their last ten. The Blues? Holding pace at 7-1-2. Thanks to the Preds recent solid play, they sit first in the division by a point over the Jets and Blues.
